Hypergons (Hgons) and Metastructures: New concepts and meta-structures for GD and Additive Manufactured Ultra-high performance systems and components. Much different than 'lattices'. In fact, Hgons encompass, and extend lattices to new levels.
Our new Mgons-Hgon structures can be isotropic, isotropic/symmetric and locally oriented, with all that implies. Hgons automatically conform to any STL or CAD component topology and any complex connectivity. There is no limit. They are 'true' meta-structures, in that we can iterate to enable unprecedented multi-scale density and structural optimization*. Work is ongoing improving FEA implementations; new GPU and Machine Learning algorithms.
